BORAT'S MUSIC PICKS
Cultural investigator Borat Sagdiyev from the Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan has learnt much. He has discovered, amongst other things, the concept of music charts. Being the go-getter that he is, it didn't take him long to compile his own all-time music charts. Here is the Top 5. No surprise that his own song took the number 1 position...
1. "You Be My Wife" from Borat Musical Listenings....
This is romantic song that I wrote about a woman's in my moviefilm, whom I wanted to make romance inside off. This feature Belinda Bedekovic, our famous keytar player and was produced by Korki Buchek!!!
2. "Macarena"
We play this party song at my first wife funeral. Happy times.
3. "It's a Kind of Magic" - Queen
I like very much the lead singer - ladies man Frederick Mercury. It great shame that he die in that car crash. Many peoples say I looks like him, infacts, last month I come 7th in Almaty's annual 'who look most like Freddy Mercury' competition. This out of over 843,000 entrant!
4. "I Wanna Sex You Up" - Color Me Badd
This favourite of my 11 year old son, Bilak. His wife and childrens like it too.
5. "Holiday" - Madonna
I liking very much this new song by singing transvestite Madonna. He is very convincing, the only thing that gives him away is his big hands, and the bulge around his chram

Top Polish act SWEET NOISE here to rock with us!
Direct from the Polish badlands - progressive industrial rock heroes SWEET NOISE are in Cape Town to record their new album and unleash some beats on us.
The multi-platinum selling Polish hard-rock/electro-industrialists have arrived in South Africa to seek fresh inspiration and chew on some musical roots for their new album, tentatively titled “Kalahari Noise”. In addition to their own unique sound, the band is collaborating with a host of top local musos, foremost of these being SA ethno-dub warrior Warrick Sony (Kalahari Surfers fame), who is also adding production credits to the album which is being recorded at his Milestone Studios in Cape Town.
Other notable locals adding to the international flava include Paul Ressel/Humanizer, Lark, Loedi (Taxi Violence), Teba, Krushed & Sorted, Amampondo, Zukhile (Marekta), The Sleepers, Paul Blom/Terminatrix and others still TBA.
The new album is due for worldwide release in early 2007.
The band will also be taking some time out of their intense recording schedule to give local audiences a taste of their 100% proof Polish industrial-strength rock with two exclusive live gigs in the city. Joining them on stage will be several of those noteworthy musicians whom they are collaborating with.
The band's own DJ, the internationally recognised DJ Kostek, will also be performing several solo shows displaying his own twisted turtablisms and rocking track selection! (see below for details)
Says Sweet Noise front-man Glaca "On the new album we decided to break all the boundaries dividing musical styles and let our imagination paint the picture.”
“We know exactly how hard, twisted and tough most people's lives are. Filled with chaos, fear and an overload of information. It's all reflected in our music.”
From Poland comes electro-industrial heroes SWEET NOISE. Here to flay us out of our own mediocrity and slumber.
