Recording Artist, TV and Radio Presenter ProVerb started his rapping career in 1999 and became renowned as being one of the few rappers who does not use vulgar language in his songs. He has achieved immense success with albums such as The Book of ProVerb, Manuscript and Write of Passage. ProVerb hit notoriety on Channel O as a presenter and was also the technical producer of the Fresh Breakfast show on Gauteng’s Y-fm. He’s now the technical and content producer on the drive-time show on METRO FM. ProVerb also hosts his own show The Pro-File Saturdays and Sundays on METRO FM.
Factoid: ProVerb was invited to be a part of the South African delegation that attended the Global Hip Hop Summit, in Spain and Johannesburg in 2004 and 2005 respectively. In May 2005, the premier of the Northern Cape Province appointed ProVerb as an Ambassador of Health for the province.

Bophelo Care Centre, Kimberley - It is the focus of the A.F.M. Executive Welfare Council, through the uMephi program to establish (find, purchase and equip) Foster Homes and Place of Safety Homes (Halfway Homes) in different communities in South Africa to accommodate and meet the needs of children in need of care – more specifically, abandoned children and children affected by HIV/Aids – Aids Orphans, children who are HIV-negative. One of these homes is Bophelo Care Centre - a Halfway Home situated in Kimberley. |
