What is the M-Net MobiGuide
Experience more on your cellphone! Get the latest programming, plan your viewing and never miss your favourite show again.
It’s the M-net MobiGuide, and it’ll change the way you see your TV schedule

- Detailed info – get episodic information and movie descriptions for today’s schedule
The M-Net MobiGuide is a free mobizine service to our subscribers and is not a subscription service.
The only cost to you is the cost of the initial SMS and download of the mobizine to your cellphone, followed by the data charges for each new edition of M-Net MobiGuide you choose to download (about 2-10c each time, depending on your mobile operator data package and charges).
To download M-Net MobiGuide to your cell phone, SMS MOBI MNET to 36978 (SA only, SMS is R5). Subscribers outside of SA can SMS MOBI MNET to +44 7624 806310.
Once you have downloaded the mobizines application to your cell phone, the M-Net Mobizine will update each morning.
It’s so simple, ANYONE can do it.

How to get your M-Net MobiGuide
- Step 1 - Simply SMS MOBI MNET to 36978 (SA only, SMS is R5)
- Step 2a - If your handset can receive a WAP push you will receive a SMS with a link to click on. Click on the link and begin the download.
Or
- Step 2b - If you only have a message with a web link in it, click on ‘options’, and select either ‘Use Detail’/’Cut web address’/ ‘find web address’.
- Step 3 - Once you have clicked on the link or browsed for it, you will come to the Mobizine landing page. It will inform you if you can download M-Net MobiGuide.
- Step 4 - Scroll down and highlights the download link, and begin your download.
- Step 5 - You may have to confirm your download.
- Step 6 - The screen will display the download progress. When it reaches 100% you may be asked to confirm installation.
- Step 7 - If you have a Symbian handset you will asked what connections Mobizines should use to get downloads. If you are not asked this question, the phone has selected default settings for you.
- Step 8 - After your installation is complete you may be asked to close your browser.
M-Net MobiGuide can now be found in the Downloads/Applications folder.
How much does it cost
R5 for the initial SMS, to set up the software on your cellphone. Thereafter the only cost is the small data downloads (this price varies between service providers, but costs roughly 6c per day).
